Reinventing Your Exit

Wow, what a day....I'm emotionally exhausted. I kept awake by my coughing last night so I didn't get much sleep. And therefore, didn't make it to class. I went to CUW today and that's about it. It was interesting. I'm kinda tired of some things. None of which I want to speak about at this moment. Possibly later. I really need to work on my message for Sunday. For those of you who don't know, I will be speaking at Lawrence's church in Apex/Pittsboro on Sunday. I'm excited and I know that God will use me this weekend. Through me, He will do great things. I'm also working on my second short story. I'm aiming for a pre-Christmas release date. We'll see.

I have an appointment with the eye doctor on thursday. Hopefully I can get glasses/contacts and be able to see.

Well that's all I have for tonight. I hope this was an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

Some Will Seek Forgiveness, Others escape

Hello everyone,

It's good to be back. I haven't posted here in a while. I guess I'll just update for the past 3 days because it's been too long. Here goes....

Friday-
I went to my wonderful Algebra class and then my wonderful Old Testament class. I was done at 10 so I got to chill for the day. I did the usual stuff. Starbucks, post office. That sorta thing. Lawrence came and spent the night at Campbell. Fun stuff. We played video games and made 2 trips to walmart. I bought a couple movies. They had a nice $4.88 selection. I picked up Man on the Moon and October Sky. Kyle, Lawrence and I watched Man on the Moon that night before the 2nd walmart trip. It's an amazing movie. I loved it.

Saturday-
Woke up at around 9:30, and took a shower. Doug, Lawrence and I went to McDonalds to get a free breakfast thanks to Josh. So we got back, Lawrence drove home. Doug left. I went to get Kyle and take him to get his haircut and go to the Emery, He Is Legend and Gym Class Heroes concert in Columbia, SC. We arrived in SC at about 3:30 and the doors were already open. The concert was supposed to start at 7 according to the website but when we got in at about 4, the first band was playing their last song. So we caught that and then anticipated the rest of the show. The Gym Class Heroes were great live. I think Kyle and I were the only ones who actually knew the words to their songs. Good stuff. He Is Legend was insane. Emery, well Emery was wow. I've never been to such a great show. I mean, they are amazing live. So the concert ended at 7 and we drove back. We got back at about 10:45 and caught the end of UFC Fight Night. Then we went up to my room and played video games until Kyle went back to his room and I went to sleep.

Sunday-
I've been a little under the weather so i slept in. Ate Lunch. Watched football. Played Madden with Kyle. Typical Sunday at the Creek. Nothing to do. I did some math homework and then ate dinner with the beautiful Chelsea Stallings and then we watched some TV in her room. After that, Doug and I played Star Wars Battlefront. And now I'm typing this. Good stuff. Anyway, I'm headed to bed.

-Chris

(hopefully this will get updated more often. But that will only happen if Erica reminds me. Cary sucks)

Achilles Last Stand

A Zeppelin song title. Everyone cheer.

So, it's good to be back. I really should update this more. I don't know how many people actually read it.

Last week had ups and downs but I think I came out okay. I guess time will tell.

Friday, Doug and I found the sweetest car in Dunn. It was a 1990 Ford Probe with huge wheels and tires. The tires must have been 44s or so. It was great and we took pictures. Friday night was so awesome. I went to dinner and the movies with Doug, Jennifer and Dusty or as I enjoy calling them, The Girls and Doug. We had a blast and it really got my mind off of some things, which I needed. So if they read this, thanks guys. That night or I guess it was Saturday morning, I smoked my first cigar. It was interesting.

Saturday, I talked to the RD for a while and he let me borrow 3 cds. They were He Is Legend, the first Anberlin cd and the new John Reuben cd. They are all amazing cds. Go buy them now. Saturday night, I watched the Gator game and was stoked that they pulled it out. It was nice to beat Tennessee. I really miss the days of the domination.

Sunday was NFL Football and studying. It was a good chill day. And I had Bojangles for lunch which I very much enjoyed. I did Laundry late Sunday night and read in Mere Christianity. One point that CS Lewis makes in the book that really hit me is in the chapter on Morality and Psychoanalysis. He says that each choice we make changes us a bit and that all our lives, we turn ourselves into heavenly creatures or hellish creatures. So my point by telling you guys this is that I want you to think about your choices before you make them.

That's all I got,
Chris

Until My Heart Caves In

So the title of this post is also the name of the new Audio Adrenaline cd. I haven't heard the song or the cd, but I dug the name so we're gonna stick with it.

So since I last posted, classes started, Seventh Day Slumber played at the Lighthouse, and my brother has come to Campbell and spent the night. It was interesting. I actually enjoy class for some reason. It's cool and I'm learning a lot. Especially in Old Testament. But Biology is my favorite class. It's fun and we get little remotes and we push buttons. And pushing buttons is something that I enjoy.

I really miss my youth group.

Lead of Love

Hey guys, welcome back.

So since I last posted, I have moved into Campbell and I am loving it. It's so great. The scenery is great, I've met cool people, and I've seen beautiful girls. But best of all, I'm getting much closer to God. My roommate, Kirk, is a great influence and I'm blessed to have him as a roommate.

I'm loving my dorm room but I'm a little slack on the decor. I have a couple posters up. You can IM me for pictures. It's nice to have pictures of friends and such(thanks Sara!). I'd also like for you guys to give me some pictures to put up in my room.

This week has been great so far, but the real test will be when classes start on wednesday. I'm excited and scared about the new challenges that God is going to put in front of me this week. I know that He will guide me and give me strength and wisdom as I go through college. One verse has been sticking with me this week and it comes from Joshua Chapter 1, verse 9. It says "Be strong and corageous, do not be scared or dismayed; for the Lord is with you where ever you go."

Today was great. I woke up and headed to the Creek to pick up my books for school. While I was there, I met Ashlee. I thought she was cool until she got my freshly vaccuumed floor mats dirty in the 4Runner. I was mad about that. I got home and Nick came over and chilled. We drove to Bojangles and I saw Amanda driving down the road and she blocked me from getting over so I wasn't happy about that. After that I went to my last youth meeting ever. It was sad. Everyone that was there was just realizing that this would be the last time they see me for a while so we were all really bummed. I'll still talk to them after I move in to Campbell though. Keenan called me right before I got home so I called him back and we went to Best Buy and then looked at cars and stuff. It was pretty cool. I'm gonna miss hanging out with everyone so often.

Right now, I'm watchin the Adam Carolla show on Comedy Central because Chuck Liddell is going to be on it.

Tomorrow, I have to take my mom's van to the dealership because I need to get her taillight cover replaced. So I'll be driving a mini-van around until i get it replaced. How cool am I going to feel?

Anyway, that's all I got. Later guys

Today is described

So welcome to the new blog. I hope the 2 people that read this enjoy it.

Today was pretty good. My brother, my mom and I ate lunch at McDonalds and then we went to Circuit City. My mom claimed that my brother would not spill his drink in my car. She was wrong and now I have to get my car cleaned before I leave. I still need to get my oil changed and my front axle aligned. That's gonna set me back a few dollars. I also picked up the new Brad Paisley cd. It's pretty good.
Well, I move into Campbell on Saturday and I'm extremely excited. I'm going out to Campbell tomorrow to pick up my books so I can start studying early and try to make good grades. It's going to be really odd not being home all the time. I'm just so used to being home because I never go anywhere and now I'll never be here. It's going to be different. Hopefully I'll meet some cool people at the Creek to hang out with.

Wow, it's almost midnight and I'm tired of being on the computer. I'm off to bed guys.
